A six-Month Apprenticeship Into the Art of Facilitating Trauma-informed Ceremonial Cacao Journeys

iaowomb-184.jpeg

This six-month apprenticeship is guided by Master Ceremonialist Naomi Love, who has led thousands of ceremonies and trained extensively with Maya teachers and Ceremonialists worldwide.

Through the embodiment of these initiatory teachings, you will be inside of a direct apprenticeship with the spirit of Cacao. Learning through direct communion and connection with the plant allies, elementals, unseen familiars.

Inside of this apprenticeship, you will learn the KEYS to holding trauma-informed ceremonial space.

You will learn how to attune to the subtle energetic realms, alchemize group energies, and support others in transforming their pain into love.

Step into your role as a Cacao Facilitator Initiate in divine partnership so you can hold powerful clear energetic boundaries and agreements.

You will work intimately with supportive plant allies as you learn how to prepare a magical ceremonial Cacao elixir that will amplify the power and potency of your ceremonial offerings.

If you feel in resonance here, I invite you to join me inside of this beautiful apprenticeship where you will learn how to deepen into the sacred art and magic of ceremony.

This apprenticeship is open to all genders, and anyone over the age of 18.

There are no prerequisites to sign up!

After the Cacao Facilitator Initiation Apprenticeship, I feel more confident about offering services and holding ceremonies. I realized how much I knew already and how much I didn’t know at the same time. Now I fully trust myself to facilitate healing without retraumatizing my participants. Naomi is a very wise and supportive mentor.

You Will…

Develop a direct connection with the spirit of Cacao as your teacher and guide for this journey. Through the Art of Listening you will learn from the spirit of Cacao about how to be in right relationship with its medicine, and how to honor its energetic gifts of activation, transmutation, and release.

Learn how to honor the medicine of Cacao.
Be in appreciation rather than appropriation as you respect the history, lineages, sourcing, and preparation of this medicine and the land and people involved both energetically and physically. This is a modernized Cacao ceremonial experience rooted in Indigenous practices handed down with reverence and permission from Naomi’s teachers in Central America. It is NOT the exact recreation of Indigenous ceremonial teachings.

Experience many styles and types of ceremonial cacao journeys including how to work with the activating energy of Cacao through Elemental Movement. This helps ceremony participants process and heal things like a broken heart, grief, disconnection, stagnation, depression, and loneliness. The Elemental Movement process guides participants through the energies of fire, earth, water, and air, so they can connect with the elements within themselves and nature while also cultivating the resonance of harmony in their lives and the world.

Learn the subtle yet IMPORTANT art of opening, holding, and closing ceremonial space. Opening the space helps guide people into a safe, magical realm beyond normal space-time, where they can experience the miracles of Cacao. Closing the space correctly helps guide people back to ordinary time to feel grounded and integrated as they step back into normal space-time.

Learn how to track energies before, during, and after a ceremony, which will give you the tools to navigate and transmute group energies without affecting your own health and life. As a ceremonial initiate, you will become keen to interpret metaphors and omens that show up before and after a ceremony. As you develop the ability to listen and notice the subtle energies that arise, you can better support the space and address the needs of the group.

Learn how to hold clear energetic boundaries and agreements between yourself and participants, so that you’re not taking on the energies of what’s coming up during a ceremony. You’ll know how to discern whether resistance or chaos is a sign of misalignment or if it’s just the energy that needs to be transformed.

Learn about working with supportive plant allies that enhance the presence and medicine of Cacao to facilitate specific healing intentions. For example, mixing cinnamon to the formula would add a warming energy to the ceremony that helps melt the ice of the heart. Adding plants that grow where you live is a way to honor the land and bring union and harmony to the medicine and the ceremony.

Learn how to help folks navigate their experiences within the ceremony, so they can process intense emotions, visions, or sensations for healing, rather than being left feeling confused, activated, or retraumatized.

Ceremony is a space for what wants to be healed to arise, and this doesn’t always look pretty. This step alone will set your space-holding ability apart from 99% of other practitioners who aren’t fully trained in how to support participants through what arises.

  Upon Completion You Will…

  • Support your community through Ceremonial Cacao Journeys to access, align and heal their heartspace.

  • Support your community in Ceremony through Rites of Passage, healing spiritual and emotional dis-ease.

  • Alchemize group emotions and energies that no longer serve with ease and grace.

  • Feel re-sourced through your service to the world.

  • Support the people and lands who make the medicine Cacao available to the world.

This initiation was an amazing experience. I’m so thankful for Naomi and the Spirit of Cacao. This was exactly what I needed. I’m moving into a space of being in community with others again after a long period of solitude and feeling so deeply ready to hold ceremonies to heal with my community.

Aloha Beauty, I am Naomi Love.

As a young woman, I was initiated into Earth-centered ceremonial ways with masters from around the world. It has been my greatest honor to hold these teachings and transmissions deep in my heart and womb and carry them forward in appreciation.

When I was in my twenties, I studied extensively with Maya teachers who introduced me to the goddess Ixchel. A Maya Goddess that takes three forms, maiden, mother, and crone, representing the three main phases of a womb carrier's life.

After years of working with the Maya Goddess Ixchel, I was invited to become an Initiated Priestess empowered to facilitate healing ceremonies on her behalf.

It was through working with Ixchel that I was introduced to Ek Chuah, her consort, the patron God of Cacao. In each of the Ixchel healing ceremonies, Ek Chuah was called upon as Cacao was brought in. Its supportive healing medicine would open the hearts and wombs of those that participated.

The Maya Elders and Medicine Women I studied with, taught me how to blend and prepare the Cacao elixir with specific herbs depending on the intention of the ceremony and always with reverence.

After years working with botanical medicine, I have developed a direct connection with the plants as my teachers, which is how I was able to listen when the spirit of Cacao shared with me a powerful request which I cannot ignore. I was asked to share with the modern world how to be in right relationship with its medicine…

This is why beginning, I am offering a nine-month Cacao Facilitator Initiation, an Apprenticeship in how to Ceremonial Cacao Journeys in a way that honors the origins and respects its medicinal gifts it is so eagerly awaiting to share with the world. I hope to see you there.

With Love, Naomi

My biggest takeaway from the Cacao Facilitator Initiation was reaffirming that boundaries are to keep us in not others out.

To trust the fires of our hearts. The power of the heart at times intimidates me, it can be scary to burn it all down and to start over through the portal of a rebirth. I do not have the words for it other than that it feels like tears coming from my eyes.

The amount of trust I have built, learned, and choosing myself over and over again through this live journey of somatic womb apprenticeship and cacao facilitator training has me feeling in a flood of gratitude that I can still choose love for this vessel.

That it is still possible to love myself and my body this deeply, as this body is my home and home is in the present moment... I spent so much of my life thinking otherwise and through the space held by the Wise Womb Oracle & Naomi through my journey along with tobacco and rose feels like a baptism of love.
— Hara Aramaya
The Cacao Facilitator Initiation has taught me that this is the work that is needed right now. The practices continually strengthen my trust in my body and connection to my intuition to create a container of safety for the ceremonies I hold. I developed the ability to listen more clearly to the deeper voice within me. I can now hold sacred space in right relationship to better facilitate healing for others.
— Chandra
Thank you for the work you do, your Cacao Facilitator Initiation was literally transformative! I have not been the same since, and since I’ve been deeply traumatized by the intense grief of losing my only baby and then my only sibling within ten months of each other, the healing I felt attending was deeply needed.

I loved connecting with Naomi and my fellow students and learning how to facilitate ceremonies. It feels good to learn the origins of these ceremonies and to work with the plants in a deep and meaningful way. Each time we gathered, I felt the magic of our group and the cacao and other plants targeting. After years of participating in cacao ceremonies, I finally feel I have the preparation to prepare ceremonial cacao and facilitate one myself.
— J.S.
My biggest realization from this apprenticeship was that my unhappiness has come from focusing too much on my own productivity and valuing myself based on what measurable material progress and gains I have made, which will never be enough to fulfill me or bring me peace. I need to ask myself: What did I do to show loving kindness to myself or others? How did I show gratitude for myself, my body, nature, other beings, my ancestors, or the earth’s abundance all around me? What did I do that gave the gift of joy to myself or others? How did I celebrate nature and my own divinity through creative expression?

If I ask myself these questions, and if I answer these questions that will lead me to the happiness I seek. Cacao is magic.
— Stephany O'block
The one result from this apprenticeship that stands out above all is the way I have come back to myself and my knowing that I am a child of universe. Before finding Naomi, I was struggling with trusting myself and my connection to source while facilitating rituals and ceremonies. Now, my bond with myself and my connection to earth and my guides is so tapped in and I feel confident to bring this to the participants in my offerings.

Feeling so much gratitude for this beautiful work- learning how Naomi holds space and trusting that the healing wave created by this training reaches far beyond time and space so that we may carry on the legacy of trauma-informed ceremonies. This is a ripple effect so that we may all feel held in a safe container in order to heal on every level!
