WISE WOMB WAY Understanding the Laws of this plane of existence.

The Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine have become buzz words these days within the healing arts and tantra. I would like to dive a little bit into what these words mean, and often what people are speaking to when they are speaking about them.

We are speaking to the qualities of the energy these each hold within them. In the same way Taoism speaks to Yin and Yang which is the principle that all things exist as inseparable and contradictory opposites. "In Chinese mythology, Yin and Yang were born from chaos when the universe was first created and they are believed to exist in harmony at the centre of the Earth."

The Yin is represented here as the Feminine energy, it is cyclical, liminal, it is cool, dark, embodied through the water element and it holds within it the essence of life. The Yang, represented here as the Masculine, is penetrative, linear, it is warm, light and has a forward trajectory, embodied through the fire element and the mountains. It is the container that the Feminine essence or yin is held within.

The concept, to simplify it greatly, is that ultimately everything is ONE. Yet on this plane of existence there is a duality that exists within the wholeness. "When we see things as beautiful, ugliness is created. When we see things as good, evil is created. Being and non-being produce each other. Difficulty and ease complement each other. Long and short define each other. High and low oppose each other..." Where it gets sticky is when we get attached to the narrative of duality, the stories that our perception convincingly sells us as true.

The idea that life should be easy, that challenge is bad, that struggle is unwanted, and that only when we are happy are we in harmony. The constant striving for goodness, righteousness, happiness, and abundance can create in us places where we turn away from and deny the totality our true encompassing experience. It's a cycle of separation both from within each of us which then manifests in collective consciousness.

When we are perceiving our experience from this place of duality is when the suffering comes in because we are comparing our experiences to a should, to an ideal that may or may not exist in the wholeness of truth. We must see where we can expand our consciousness to the greater macrocosm so we can come to a greater awareness of it all being ultimately one.

In Kundalini they teach a pathway to the remembrance of ONE through the process of meditation. When either good or bad experiences happen we can then have a greater capacity to be unattached to the dualistic judgement that keeps us caught in the cycle of separation. No longer are we riding on the high and low waves of our emotional interpretation of our experiences. From this place we find ourselves filled with spaciousness which then changes how we are within our life and our relationships.

When we are speaking to these energies, we are speaking to the qualities in which each of these energies hold. They are each part of the whole and help us to understand the law of existence here on planet earth.

We each hold within us the yin and yang; the Masculine and Feminine. It isn't about finding balance per se as balance is something we are often trying to achieve and failing greatly at. It is about allowing both energies to move through us while coming into the center point of the remembrance of ONENESS. When we begin to understand these energies it can help clarify what is happening within ourselves and within our relationships. The Masculine, the Yang energy, is the container that holds the Feminine essence, the Fin. The Feminine needs to have this solid container to be able to surrender into it- to soften into the truth of its nature.

The Masculine, the Yang, needs this role of being the container as it gives this energy the ability to feel useful and purposeful. The Masculine is penetrative, and the Feminines deep desire is to be penetrated. The Feminine is cyclical, rhythmic; the masculine is linear and consistent. The more we can bring awareness to these energies that exist within everything, the more freedom we can find within ourselves, the more we can be connected to our greater consciousness. The remembrance that when we are caught in the duality of our experience that we may not be seeing the whole picture.

Can we cultivate a more macrocosmic perspective? The Dalai Lama says, "wisdom doesn't appear in duality." Yet duality is a sort of mind trick of this plane of existence.

What practices can we implement to begin to connect with the ONEness? Please post your thoughts below <3
