Get over that cold!!

Lemon, Ginger, Turmeric, Honey & Cayenne Tea

Once you get a cold it can be hard to nip it in the bud. Here is one of my favorite home remedies to support getting better quickly!

For a large 1/2 gallon jar

Juice 6 large lemons or limes
Add to 1/2 gallon jar – Do not heat lemon juice
In a stove top pot add –

1/2 gallon of pure water.
1 cup fresh ginger root, sliced
1/2 cup fresh turmeric root, sliced
Simmer for 20 min.
Add tea to lemon juice and add honey and cayenne to taste – Best Served HOT!

A couple other simple tips for you…

Drink plenty of warm water!
Get plenty of rest.
Eat Chicken Soup & Bone broth.
Avoid sugar, dairy and most carbs – as they all create more mucous.
Take high doses of Vitamin C (up to 5,000mg a day)
Gentle enema can support moving the lymph system thus positively effecting the immune system.
Oregano Spirits Tincture by Herb Pharm taken with Wellness Formula liquid tincture – (High Doses, for example – 3 droppers per hour for up to 13 hours)
Avoid herbal formulas with astragalus root when you are sick.
Take hot baths with epsom salt and baking soda while sipping hot tea.
When you get out of the tub wrap in cotton blankets and sweat!
Use a hot water bottle on the lymph glands
Gently rub Castor Oil on lymph glands in neck if swollen.
